The National Occupational Classification list is a database developed by the government of Canada categorizing all occupations present in the Canadian labour market.
On November 16, 2022, Canada switched to the 2021 version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Apply under the NOC your work experience related closest to. You will not be refused if you don’t have a license, but it is very common to have issues when the description of your duties does not match your NOC. NOC 2021 Version 1.0 overhauled the Skill Level structure of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC). A new TEER categorization – representing the degree of Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities – has been introduced. A new 5-digit NOC code will be applicable in place of the previous 4-digit codes.
